(Promovendi Network NL) Only 20% of the PhD Candidates find a job in science
Research shows that 80% of PhD candidates aim for careers in science, but only 20% are likely to secure university positions, while 10% find research roles outside academia. The remaining 70% often transition to business or government jobs. If you plan to pursue a business career, it’s useful to network and gain related experience during your PhD. While many companies may undervalue a doctoral degree compared to a master’s, PhD candidates possess strong analytical and organizational skills and have successfully completed complex projects.
