(Social) Networks for PhDs

  • PON (PhD Organisation Nijmegen):  PON represents the interests of all PhD candidates in Nijmegen. 
  • PNN (Promovendi Network Netherlands): Promovendi Netwerk Nederland (PNN) is the national interest organization for and by PhD candidates affiliated with one of the Dutch universities, university medical centers or research institutes.
  • LNVH: Dutch Network of Women professors (Landelijke network voor vrouwelijke hoogleraren) - offers amongst others grants, career training and mentorship programs.
  • Labour unions for PhDs:
    • AOb: 80% of the members in the sector Scientific Education and Research at the AOb belong to academic staff, including PhD candidates, which means that there is a lot of substantive expertise within the AOb.
    • FNV: The largest labour union in the Netherlands.
    • CNV: Labour union for different branches.
