The go/no go interview

  • The go/no go interview is a formal meeting: an assessment of the PhD candidate to decide on the continuation or termination of the project.
  • Often, the progress in the first year will be discussed with your supervisor(s) within 8 to 14 months after the start of your contract.
  • Ask your supervisor (in time) what is expected of you to hand in before your go/no go interview since this can differ per supervisor.
  • There is a Planning and Evaluation Form available for PhD interviews, including the go/no go interview. You receive this via the management assistants in your department.
