Hora Finita

  • Hora Finita is Radboud University’s registration and monitoring system for PhD programmes. This tool supports the entire PhD process from the PhD candidate’s registration to their defence and provides those involved with relevant information at any moment of the PhD programme.
  • Register for Hora Finita by logging in with SURFconext via: Hora Finita - RU
  • Make sure to upload finished PhD courses in Hora Finita and the following milestones. The requirements can differ per institute. Contact your graduate school coordinator.
At MilestoneMake sure you
After 3 monthsHave completed your Training and Supervision Plan (TSP or OBP in Dutch)
After 9 monthsHave completed your graduation plan (GP)
After 1 yearHave a formal assessment, the go/no go-interview, and update your TSP/OBP
After 2 yearsHave completed at least one chapter of your thesis, or you have submitted at least one article to a peer-reviewed journal (aim to write one chapter of your thesis per year)
After 2 yearsHave an outline of your thesis, including a detailed table of contents and preliminary title of the thesis
Beginning of the last year (Year 4)Agree with your supervisor(s) on a date for finishing the manuscript
The last 6 months of your contractTo be spend on writing the synthesis and the introduction of your thesis
